Homemade Granola

Fall in love with this recipe and never, ever, buy store granola again!

First you need to think of all the granolas you've tried in your life and think of the things you like the most. For example, there's people who don't like raisins. So do not add raisins. Some people don't like their granola as toasted. So don't over toast your granola. It is a please-everyone recipe for sure. I will give you a control recipe but you can always alter and experiment to have your very own favorite granola.

Ingredients:

-3 cups rolled oats

-1/2 cup maple syrup

-1/2 cup honey (I used agave syrup for vegan option)

-1 teaspoon vanilla

-Salt and cinnamon to taste

-1/2 cup unsweetened coconut

-1 cup almonds

-1/2 cup sunflower seeds

-1/2 cup pumpkin seeds

-1/2 cup dried fruit (I used cranberries)

*You can also add and substitute with walnuts, hemp seeds, sesame seeds, etc.

Mix together the maple and honey. Add salt, vanilla, and cinnamon. Now add the oats, almonds, and seeds. Place on two baking sheets evenly spaced out. (Leave the coconut and dried fruit for later) Bake for 15 minutes at 350F. Now add the coconut and dried fruit and mix the granola and then space out evenly again. Bake for 10-15 minutes more depending on how toasted you want your granola. Let cool for some minutes and then mix. Enjoy on your favorite yogurt, fruit, or with milk!
