Those days when you just crave some full-on-flavour Doritos but you're on a diet. What to do?
Search no more. Fork and Beans just gave us the answer with this delicious yet guilt-free recipe for homemade vegan dairy free Doritos!
First, the flavours:
-Nacho cheese:
- 1/4 c. nutritional yeast
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 - 1 tsp. salt
-Cool Ranch
- 1/4 c. nutritional yeast
- 2 tsp. onion powder
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tsp. dried parsley
- 2 tsp. dried chives
- 1/2 - 1 tsp. salt
-Spicy Taco
- 1/4 c. nutritional yeast
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 - 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cumin
- 1/2 tsp. coriander
*I always recommend to be careful with the cooking indications. For example: tsp is teaspoon and tbsp is tablespoon.
Place all the seasonings on the blender for even consistency.
Now, even on a diet, and as a great Mexican I am, I'm allowed to have two tortillas. On Doritos, that is equal to 16 pieces! Enough to fulfil my craving tooth.
Start by brushing your tortillas with olive oil. Then stack them up and cut in eight equal pieces. Now place the tortillas on your season of choice bowl and mix all together. Position your triangles on your sheet without stacking them and cook for 20-25 minutes or until crisp!
